Challenge

Existing period trackers are often bloated, lack privacy, or isolate the data from partners. The main challenge was to create a tool that not only accurately tracks cycles (PMS, Period, Fertile Window) but also automates "empathy" by notifying the user's partner (Companion) with actionable advice, while keeping sensitive symptom data strictly encrypted.

Solution

I developed a robust Telegram Bot and Mini App using Node.js and PostgreSQL. The system features a unique "Companion Protocol" where users generate invite links for their partners. The backend runs cron jobs to calculate cycle phases and sends tailored notifications to both the user and their companion (e.g., warning a partner about PMS mood swings). All personal daily logs (mood, symptoms) are encrypted with AES-256-CBC before storage, ensuring absolute privacy.
